The story of Tributallica began when singer Mikael Brockman wanted to realize a dream he had to perform Metallica songs live with a band. Mikael who had only played acoustic guitar as a troubadour for many years, had to suddenly start learning to play electric guitar like James Hetfield. Which proved to be pretty challenging.
But he was resilient and with a little help from some friends and pretty well experienced musicians (Michel from Machinery/Altair, David Wallin from Pain/Hammerfall and Johan Niemann from Tiamat/Evergrey), he started to rehearse in 2007.

Just after their second gig, they got picked to play at the big event "Monsters of Tribute" at one of the biggest indoor venues "Annexet" in Stockholm Sweden. As challenging as it was, trying to find replacement members (David and Johan were pretty busy with their bands at the time), they pulled the gig off. Bass player Claudio (who had previously played some really big shows with Swedish artists) helped them out and continued his journey with the band until today.

​During the years Tributallica have had some really memorable shows and encounters (yes even with members of Metallica!). And now in 2025 they are ready to make a great come back after a 6 year hiatus!

FUN FACTS. DID YOU KNOW?

-Tributallica has been to both Finland and Norway to play at Metallica "show after parties" and at the release of Activision's "Guitar Hero Metallica"
​
-Tributallica played at Pub Anchor in Stockholm the same night Metallica had to cancel a show due to James being ill. People in the crowd went crazy, and it was one of the most memorable shows at that place according to the staff. Truly an once in a lifetime experience.

-Tributallica once played 4 nights in a row at Pub anchor when Metallica only played 2 shows in Stockholm!

-In 2010 Tributallica played at the "Sonisphere after party" at Pub Anchor with none less than Hammerfall as support band! Hammerfall played at Sonisphere the same day together with Anthrax, Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Alice Cooper and Slayer among others. The rain poured down like crazy during the festival and everyone that showed up was soaking wet. A true memorable night. And as a coincidence in life, drummer David who was playing with Tributallica that night, then went to become a full time member of Hammerfall, and still is to this day!

-And the best part, Mikael Brockman once met Lars at an after party in Stockholm and invited him to Pub Anchor. And believe it or not, next day Lars and Rob showed up at Pub Anchor during the Rock Karaoke-night!
